Court: Rothesay man fined for drug possession

A ROTHESAY man was fined £100 at the town’s sheriff court on Monday after pleading guilty to being in possession of more than one hundred diazepam tablets.

James McQueenie (42), address given as Flat 0/1, 17 Bishop Street, was stopped by police in High Street on December 14 and admitted carrying the tables before being searched.

One hundred and four tablets were recovered, with a value of approximately £52.
