A Rothesay resident was in touch with The Buteman recently, regarding a possible scam operating in the area.
The resident told us that he’d received a call from a man claiming to be from ‘Natural Health Service’ in Glasgow, trying to sell a supplement containing Rosehip in tablet form.
The caller used fright tactics, including suggesting issues with the resident’s current medication, and asked for bank details during the call.
While the resident did not pass on his personal details, he asked us to help spread the word in case other islanders are duped.
We have been in touch with Natural Health Service in Glasgow who have told us that the caller was not from their organisation.
