Three arrested, two in court after Rothesay disturbance

Three men, aged aged 26, 33 and 36, were arrested following incidents at a licensed premises in East Princes Street and then in nearby Mountpleasant Road at around 5.20pm on Friday, July 11.

Two of the men appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday - one charged with a breach of the peace and the second with various offences including a breach of the peace, assault, police assault and resisting arrest. The third man was given a fixed penalty ticket for a breach of the peace.

In a separate incident, a 35-year-old woman appeared from custody at Greenock Sheriff Court on July 11, having been arrested and charged with assault following a disturbance at the marine in Port Bannatyne at around 11pm on Wednesday, July 9.
