A new dedicated road policing unit for Argyll and Bute started work on Wednesday.

The new Argyll and Bute Divisional Roads Policing Unit, which will operate across the area from bases in Campbeltown, Dunoon and Oban, comprises two sergeants and 12 constables, managed by Inspector Adam McKenzie.

Argyll and Bute MSP Michael Russell said: “The new Roads Policing Unit for Argyll and Bute is great news for the constituency.
