Rothesay's Co-operative Food store in Bridge Street is to be refitted in January and February of 2015.

Local, area and regional managers from The Co-operative Food are to share news about the company’s future plans for its stores on Bute at a public meeting in Rothesay later this month.

Managers of both the Bridge Street supermarket and the East Princes Street convenience store will be joined by area operations manager Caroline McKenzie and regional operations manager Joe Kerr at the event, at Rothesay Pavilion, from 7pm on Thursday, September 25.

Caroline McKenzie said: “We recognise the very important role our stores have on Bute, and while we always do our best to meet our customers’ needs, serving island communities does present additional challenges.

“This event will allow an open and honest dialogue, and will provide us with a platform for useful feedback on how our stores can better serve the island. It is also a chance for us to outline in more detail the plans we have.”

Further details about the meeting are available from both the company’s Rothesay stores.
