Bute resident Robert McKirdy recently presented Crossroads Caring for Carers with a cheque for £555, all raised by a charity quiz sheet.

Despite the fact that many people declared the quiz too difficult, 180 correct entries were entered, with Mrs Betty Sheppeard winning the top prize of a £30 voucher. Mrs Margaret Dickson took second place, while Mrs Margaret McWilliam came in third, with both receiving £10 vouchers.

Crossroads would like to thank everyone for their generous support in raising the wonderful sum, in particular the compiler, Robert McKirdy.

All carers of family members or friends are welcome to come to Crossroads Carers Support Group which is held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2-4pm in the Green Tree Café, Moat Centre, Rothesay.

Please contact the Crossroads Outreach worker, Deby Rough, on 07435977266 for further information.
