The annual festive service of lessons and carols in the Marble Chapel at Mount Stuart will be held this year on Tuesday, December 18.
All proceeds from this year’s service are in aid of Mary’s Meals, the Argyll-based charity which provides daily meals to chronically hungry children in a place of learning. In this way, the hungry child is attracted to the classroom where they can gain a better future for themselves and their community.
The charity has a simple ethos – delivering food and hope. By providing one good meal to hungry, impoverished children every school day, we are filling their empty bellies so they have the energy and opportunity to learn, which can be their escape route out of poverty in later life.
Tickets, priced £6, can be obtained from the offices of Wm. Skelton & Co., Castle Chambers, High Street, Rothesay, during normal business hours.
As always, Carols by Candlelight will not disappoint.
