The woman in charge of Carewatch Argyll and Bute home care teams, Anna Houston, has won this year’s National Carewatch Franchisee of the Year Award 2013, for her commitment and dedication to providing reliable home care to residents in need.

Anna also heads the Carewatch Ayrshire, Dunbartonshire, and Inverclyde teams - providing a lifeline for older and more vulnerable people in the local community. Her team visit those in even the remotest areas, travelling by ferry when required, to offer support with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

Despite the demand for her team’s support increasing by over 1,500 hours per week in the last 12 months, Anna has managed to maintain a reliable and friendly service to meet demand and ensure local residents can continue live independently at home, remaining an active part of the local community.

John Wilberforce, Franchise Development Manager at Carewatch states: “Anna is one of the most innovative and diligent people I have had the pleasure of dealing with – not just within Carewatch, but anywhere in the care sector”.
