Rothesay’s Cancer Research UK charity shop opened its doors to the public on Friday after a week-long refit.

The opening ceremony at the shop in Montague Street was performed by Rothesay resident Tom Muir, a member of the shop’s volunteer team who was given the all-clear four years ago after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Shop manager Anna Harrison said: “It’s a lovely working environment for a great team, and it’s really nice to have a fresh start at the beginning of a new financial year.”
