The community of Bute joined together at noon today to Stand Up To Cancer, at a mass photo-call in Guildford Square.

Organised by Anna Harrison, the event asked that people donate £1 to the charity, and come together to form a united front in the fight against all forms of cancer, posing for a photograph in the town’s centre.

Anna’s husband Ricky provided entertainment, gearing all the participants up for the event with a few dance routines, and Buteman editor, Craig Borland, tentatively took a ride in a cherry-picker to take an eagle-eyed snapshot of the crowd below.

Well done to all who took part for such a worthy cause.
