Bute Shinty Club’s latest lotto winner received his £600 prize on Wednesday.

David Martin, the janitor at North Bute Primary School in Port Bannatyne, bought his winning ticket at the Anchor Tavern in the village, where he was presented with his cheque by Charlie McCusker from the Anchor and Ben Watson, one of Bute Shinty Club’s junior players.

Asked how he planned to spend his winnings, David said: “It’ll go towards refurbishing my boat, I think.”
