There’s an extra sparkle to Police Scotland’s work on Bute this week thanks to a team of car-washers from Apple Tree Nursery in Rothesay.

Six of the nursery’s pre-schoolers visited the town’s police station on Thursday to wash one of the service’s cars as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to the police for their help throughout the year.

The visit was part of Apple Tree’s ‘Kindness Calendar’, running throughout December, in which the nursery is thanking the people and organisations who have supported their efforts in the last 12 months.

Laura-Jane McGowan from Apple Tree told us: “We want to make our children aware that there are lots of people who help us and we need to help them in return.”
