Fyne Futures' Cowal recycling service is coming to an end after ten years.

A Bute charity’s recycling service to households in Cowal is to cease this month.

Fyne Futures’ wheeled bin and bag recycling service in Strachur, Tighnabruaich and Colintraive is being replaced by a wheeled bin only ‘co-mingled’ service provided by Argyll and Bute Council from Monday, April 20.

The last Fyne Futures collection in Strachur was on Tuesday, April 7; the last collections in Tighnabruaich and Colintraive are on April 14 and 16 respectively.

The charity, which is based in the Colbeck Lane industrial estate in Rothesay, told Cowal householders: “We would really like to thank you all for all your support in the last 10 years, it has been wonderful working with you.”

The recycling services offered by Fyne Futures on Bute will not be affected by the Cowal changes and will remain the same as at present.
