The island’s community band entertained the crowd at this year’s Loch Fyne Food Fair in Cairndow on Sunday, marking the band’s second annual appearance on the festival’s bill.

Bute Community Band, which is made up of around 20 woodwind, brass and percussion players under the direction of Tony Spencer, took to the stage for an hour-long set which included Disney at the Movies, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines, Symphonic Beatles, and more.

One young audience member, who was very taken with the band’s performance, stepped up to take the conductor’s baton and led the band in an encore of The Great Escape!
