All Bute’s young witches and wizards are being invited to hop on the Hogwarts Express bound for the annual Harry Potter Book Night at a Rothesay bookshop this coming week.
Held by local bookshop and stationers, Print Point, on Thursday, February 4, the night is one of several international events designed to introduce the next generation to the books.
After being placed into Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin by the Sorting Hat, the youngsters will have the chance to win points for their respective house throughout the night.
Visitors will be able to enjoy readings from the famed J.K. Rowling book series, play spell-binding games, and even help themselves to some tasty treats from the infamous Bertie Bott’s sweet-shop (we call first-dibs on any chocolate frogs!).
At 7pm, the young witches and wizards (and their families) will fly off on their broomsticks for the Isle of Bute Discovery Theatre for a special screening of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, thanks to manager Hazel Mulholland.
The event, which is completely free thanks to a grant from James Patterson, starts at 5pm on Thursday, February 4, and there are a limited number of tickets available.
To get yours now and avoid disappointment contact Print Point on (01700) 503389 or pop into the shop at 24-26 West Princes Street.
