Bute Community Band is set to perform, for the second year in a row, at Loch Fyne Food Fair in Cairndow this weekend.

The band, which boasts over 20 brass, woodwind and percussion players, performed at last year’s festival and were delighted to be asked to return for a second year.

Included in their repertoire for Sunday’s performance - which kicks off at 2pm - is ‘Disney at the Movies’ (which features selections from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, and The Lion King), The Great Escape, The Phantom of the Opera, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The free festival is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors, and festival-goers can take part in a number of food-based workshops from oyster shucking to cupcake decorating.

The festival brings together producers from all over Scotland with a particular focus on food from Argyll including craft beer, seafood, venison, and confectionary.

Other musical performances to catch during the weekend will come from Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band, Dr. Hip and the Blues Operation, The Big Shoogle, and Rusty Nail.
