Local firm, Bute and Cowal Vets, has been recognised as ‘Practice of the Year’ in a nationwide search to find the UK’s top veterinary professionals.

We reported at the beginning of the year that the company, which has branches in Dunoon and Rothesay, had been shortlisted in Petplan’s Veterinary Awards 2015, and at ceremony in Birmingham on Thursday, April 9, the practice was announced as the best in the business.

Receiving the award on the night were Catriona MacIntyre (Dunoon-based) and Emma Alexander (Bute-based).

Duncan MacIntyre, on the practice’s Facebook page, said: “As the old man of the practice can I say a huge thank you to all our team in both Bute and Cowal, who have worked so hard since Bute and Cowal Vets was formed in 2008.

“Thanks are also due to all our clients who have nominated us and backed up the nominations. Thank you everyone.”
