The owners of the Wemyss Bay ferry terminal are visiting Rothesay on Monday, September 7 to give Bute residents an update on the progress of the project.

Officials from Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) will be available to answer questions about the major repairs at the facility, which will result in its closure from October 1 for around 24 weeks.

The company announced last week that civil engineering firm George Leslie Ltd had won the £3 million contract to carry out the work at the pier; CalMac Ferries Ltd’s Rothesay ferry service will be diverted to and from Gourock for the duration of the work.

Monday’s CMAL meeting takes place at Rothesay Pavilion at 7pm, and admission is free.
