A Rothesay business owner says his premises are still in operation - despite the doors having been closed for most of the winter.
Danny Mackinnon, who runs the ‘Playhoose’ in the town’s High Street, said he had shut the doors temporarily after the turn of the year but intended to re-open at Easter.
“We’re not out of business,” Mr Mackinnon told The Buteman. “People have been wondering why the building was shut - I had to pull the plug at the beginning of January because the idea wasn’t right for this market.
“It’s not dead, but I’m hoping to move forward with other ideas for the building.
“Ideally I want to get the whole place opened up - there’s a second level which hasn’t been developed and would give us an extra three thousand square feet of floor space.”
