Video: Bute Fabrics gives a boost to Brianne Roberts Trust

Employees at local firm Bute Fabrics and their families helped to swell the coffers of a local charity by more than £400 this week.

The Brianne Roberts Trust, which provides a holiday home at Hunter’s Quay near Dunoon for children with cancer and their families, was invited along to provide a barbecue, candy floss stall and bouncy castle at Bute Fabrics’ first Family Day on Thursday afternoon - and left the event better off to the tune of £411.

The company’s operations director, Eddie Planck, said: “We’ve set up a ‘core values’ team within the company to come up with ideas to raise funds for charity and enhance our links with the community, and this has been a fantastic event.

“David Munro, who’s part of the team, has been the main instigator of the day, and we’re glad to have been able to support the Brianne Roberts Trust.”
