Rothesay Co-op staff in 24-hour ‘spin’ for charity

Staff at Rothesay’s Co-operative supermarket will be taking part in a 24-hour sponsored ‘spin’ in aid of the Carers Trust.

The vast majority of the shop’s 53 employees will take a turn on one of two exercise bikes set up in the store from midnight to midnight this coming Wednesday, July 24.

Spinning, for those unfamiliar with the term, is the name given to cycling routines on exercise bikes, set to music of varying tempos to mimic the undulations of a road cycle.

The Carers Trust, the Co-operative’s 2013 charity of the year, was formed in April 2012 as a merger of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care.
