Highlands and Islands Enterprise is seeking planning permission to expand a Rothesay business park with the addition of four new industrial units.

The company wants permission to build the new units on a vacant part of the existing Bute Business Park on Barone Road, and to install associated vehicle access.

The project, if it’s given the green light by Argyll and Bute Council, would represent a significant expansion of the facilities at the park, which was completed in 1995 and is home to businesses including Webhelp TSC, Henshelwoods Fine Foods and Delta Foods Ltd, as well as providing a base for the Rothesay coastguard rescue team.
