A Scottish Government roadshow on Bute giving the island’s farmers the chance to find out more about the EU’s new Common Agricultural Policy has been rescheduled to a new date early in 2015.

The roadshow was originally due to take place at the Kingarth Hotel on Tuesday, December 9, but was postponed after severe disruption to the island’s ferry services prevented officials getting to the event.

It will now be held in the same venue on Tuesday, January 6 at 7.30pm.

The event is one of 35 being organised by the Scottish Government at venues across the country to allow officials to explain how how CAP support will be delivered from 2015, and what farmers and crofters need to do to receive CAP funding.

There will also be the opportunity for farmers to ask questions about the new system.
