Bute will feature prominently in one million leaflets being distributed across Scotland as part of the Argyll and the Isles Tourism Co-operative’s (AITC) latest marketing campaign for the region.
That was the news delivered to those in attendance at the launch night of VisitBute’s new website on Wednesday, January 29.
Kathryn McLaughlin, a newly appointed director of VisitBute and Visitor Services Manager at Mount Stuart, has liaised on this project with Connie Lovel, CEO of Mount Stuart, who is also Chair of AITC who are working to promote the region to the rest of the country and beyond.
Mount Stuart made a payment of £2000 to enable Visit Bute/Isle of Bute to gain additional benefit from AITC’s production and distribution of the promotional leaflets by increasing the print run by 25,000 copies of the Bute destination leaflet thus gaining wider distribution and prominence for the island as part of the overall promotional campaign.
