Loch Fad, Bute’s most popular angling spot, is to re-open to visitors early next month.

The loch will be open for brown and rainbow trout fishing from Saturday, February 7 - 18 months after it was closed to tackle an outbreak of marine lice.

Jimmy Poole from Loch Fad Fisheries said: “It was always going to take a bit of time to get to this point, and I’m now glad to be back supporting our island’s businesses again.”
