The management services company which operates a customer contact centre in Rothesay has announced the creation of four hundred new jobs at three of its other sites.

Webhelp TSC, which employs around a hundred people at its site at Bute Business Park, is setting up 294 new positions at its Glasgow centre, 76 in Larbert and 30 in Kilmarnock.

The expansion is intended to meet growing international demand for the services already provided across the company’s existing contact centres in Scotland, at Larbert, Greenock, Kilmarnock, Dunoon, Rothesay and Glasgow.

The firm already employs more than six thousand staff at sites across the UK.

The French-based Webhelp Group acquired the company, which was founded on Bute in 1994 as Telecom Service Centres Ltd, from the Hero Group in February of this year.

Almost all its Rothesay staff are employed on a customer service contract with stationery firm Office Depot’s Viking brand, which was extended for three years in December 2012.
