Bute butchers are a cut above the rest

Macqueen’s of Rothesay are delighted to celebrate that three members of their staff can cut it with the best.

Donald Macqueen, Gavin Wilson and Graham Jordan were each presented with certificates for completion of qualifications in specialist meat and poultry skills.

Donald successfully completed his Scottish Federation Diploma, the ultimate award in the Scottish retail meat sector. Gavin achieved his Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship in Butchery Retail Skills, while Graham earned his MA in Specialist Meat and Poultry Skills at Level 3.

The Macqueen’s employees are just three of 900 food and drink employees to complete a modern apprenticeship in Scotland in the last year.
