Sandra MacMillan received a Clean Up Scotland award in September 2014 in recognition of her work as Beachwatch Bute's ranger for the island - one of several high points in a busy year for the local charity.

Sandra MacMillan, the ranger employed by local charity Beachwatch Bute to keep the island’s shores free of marine litter, has thanked the organisation’s supporters for their backing over the last 12 months.

Looking back on a busy 2014 for the charity, in an article published in the January 16 issue of The Buteman, Sandra says: “Formed in 1998, Beachwatch continues to grow and develop, and with some exciting new projects in the pipeline for 2015, we are looking forward to seeing these come to fruition.

“More than anything, we are delighted at the support which we continue to receive from the local community and beyond. We are very proud of Beachwatch Bute and it would not be the success it is without the amazing support it receives.”
