Arrests following homophobic breaches of the peace

Two men - in separate incidents - were arrested and charged with committing breaches of the peace with a homophobic element in Rothesay.

The first incident took place at around 1.30am on Sunday, August 4, at an address close to High Street, Rothesay, and resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old man.

The second incident took place in the early hours of Monday, August 5, and resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old man from an address at Longhill Terrace.

Both appeared at Rothesay Sheriff Court on Monday from custody.
