Another successful Bute Highland Dance Festival

Rothesay Pavilion was a blur of tartan - in every shade and hue imaginable - on Saturday at the annual Bute Highland Dance Festival, organised by local dance teacher Anne McIlroy.

Adjudicators Lisa Ferrie from Balfron, Victor Wesley from Skelmorlie and Nicola Glover from Alexandria took their positions in front of the dancers - many of whom had travelled some distance to be there - for the day’s competition.

In a welcome break from the stress of competing, the dancers took to the floor for the ‘Mass Charity Highland Fling’, raising money for Bute Youth Football Coaching and Bute Junior Shinty. A performance of PSY’s Gangnam Style certainly helped to fill the charity buckets!
