Rodney Bewes will perform 'A Boy Growing Up', based on the short stories of Dylan Thomas, at Rothesay Pavilion on March 27.

Actor Rodney Bewes is to bring the works of Dylan Thomas to life on the Rothesay Pavilion stage next month.

Bewes, still best known for his starring role as Bob Ferris in the 1960s TV sitcom The Likely Lads, is currently touring the UK in ‘A Boy Growing Up’, a one-man show bringing to life extracts from some of the Welsh author’s best-known works, including Quite Early One Morning, A Prospect of the Sea and Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog.

The show’s Pavilion date - Wednesday, March 27 - is the first of three Scottish island performances on the tour, with visits to Mull and Skye to follow.
