The historic ship was returning from Rothesay on Friday on her first cruise in home waters of 2009 when the incident occurred.
Twelve passengers were treated for minor injuries, though the ship was able to complete her trip back to Kilcreggan and Glasgow without any further mishaps.
The incident caused the cancellation of the Waverley's first trip from Rothesay, through the Kyles of Bute to Tighnabruaich on Saturday.
Her Tuesday call at Rothesay, on a cruise from Ayr to Millport, Rothesay, Tighnabruaich, Lochranza and Skipness Castle, suffered a similar fate.
The vessel's operators, Waverley Excursions Ltd, announced through their website
(here) that both Thursday's cruise from Greenock to Helensburgh, Dunoon, Rothesay, Millport, Brodick and the Arran coast, and Friday's shorter sail from Glasgow to Kilcreggan, Dunoon and Rothesay had also been called off.
However, we called the Glasgow office of WEL on Friday and were told that Saturday's cruise, from Glasgow to Greenock, Helensburgh, Dunoon, Rothesay and Tighnabruaich, will go ahead.
Saturday's sail from Rothesay is due to double up as a fund-raising cruise for the Calum's Cabin charity appeal, with specially discounted charity tickets available from the Print Point book shop in the town.
The Waverley's 2009 Clyde cruising season has already suffered a blow with the news that rebuilding work at Largs pier will not be completed in time for the steamer to call at the north Ayrshire town until at least the end of July.
