JOINING The Buteman's news team this week is our new reporter, Karen Keith.
Karen, a former pupil of Rothesay Primary School and Rothesay Academy, graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2008 with a BA in communication and mass media, and has wasted no time in getting 'out and about' in a community she knows so well.
Though Karen may be new to The Buteman, her family links with the paper go back many years: her great-grandfather, Charles M. Stevenson, was appointed as editor and manager of the paper in 1913, and after his death, Karen's great-grandmother Janet took over in the editor's chair, and wrote the famous 'Last Word' column for many years.
