AN ENGINE fault on MV Argyle caused significant disruption to Caledonian MacBrayne's Rothesay-Wemyss Bay ferry service on Monday morning.
The technical problem kept the vessel out of service until lunchtime, when she resumed her normal timetable with the 1pm departure from Rothesay.

The Argyle's sister ship, MV Bute, handled all traffic on the route throughout Monday morning.

There were worries that the same problem might hit the latter vessel too, though these proved to be unfounded and she began her day's work after only a brief delay, with the 7am sailing from Rothesay delayed by ten minutes.
