On the Rothesay-Wemyss Bay route, the company is planning to change the departure times of two sailings from Wemyss Bay on Sunday afternoons only.
It is proposed that the current 1.45pm sailing from Wemyss Bay should leave five minutes later, at
1.50pm, in order to allow a connection from the 12.50pm train service from Glasgow Central.
At present that train service is scheduled to arrive in Wemyss Bay at 1.42pm - exactly the same time as the gates close on the pier to allow the ferry to leave.
The company also plans to re-schedule the 2.30pm departure from Wemyss Bay to leave at 3pm.
This would provide a better connection from the 1.50pm train from Glasgow, and also from a McGill's bus leaving Greenock at 2.20pm.
There are also a number of changes planned to the Monday-Friday timetable on the Rhubodach-Colintraive services, mostly to provide better bus connections at either end of the crossing, though two return sailings in the evening are being combined into one due to lower than expected traffic volumes at that time of day, and to keep as many sailings as possible at regular intervals.
The changes to services from Rhubodach are as follows.
7.40am departure re-timed to leave at 7.30am;
10.10am re-timed to leave at 10.05am;
10.20am re-timed to leave at 10.25am;
10.40am re-timed to leave at 10.45am;
6pm and 6.20pm amalgamated into one sailing leaving at 6.10pm.
From Colintraive the proposed changes are as follows.
7.30am departure re-timed to leave at 7.20am;
10.00am re-timed to leave at 9.55am;
10.30am re-timed to leave at 10.35am;
5.50pm and 6.10pm amalgamated into one sailing leaving at 6.00pm.
