2015 IN VIDEO: Beautiful Scotland judges visit Bute

The third in our short series of videos looking back at the news on Bute in 2015 features Sandy Scott, one of the judges from the Beautiful Scotland competition who visited Rothesay in August.

Captured on film on the final stop of their tour, Ardencraig Gardens, Sandy explains just what it is that the competition’s judges are looking for when they cast their eyes over entries from cities, towns and villages across the country.

Little did we know it then, but Sandy and his fellow judge John MacLennan were so impressed with what they saw on their visit to Rothesay that the competition entry from local community group Bute In Bloom won the top prize, the Rosebowl, for the second time in six years - and the Coastal Town and Community Involvement awards to boot.
