Ballianlay Choir provided an evening of superb entertainment at their summer concert in Rothesay Joint Campus on Monday evening - all proceeds of which went to Bute Advice Centre.
The choir began with an uplifting version of Adiemus, followed by the sweet strains of Edelweiss from The Sound of Music.
Soloists for the evening included Meg Young, Julie Reid on flute, Rhuraidh Soane on trombone, Russell Phillips, and duets by Anne and Derek Nurse.
With Aileen Samuel, Lyn Bulloch and Tony Spencer accompanying at various points throughout the concert, it was a musically eclectic evening, and judging by the raptuous applause after each performance, one which will be difficult for those watching and taking part to forget.
The evening raised the sum of £1,200 for Bute Advice Centre, which was presented to Bill McQueen, who thanked everyone for their support, and also the performers for their extraordinary talent.
