A touch of magic at Achievement Bute

The children of Achievement Bute have been having a magical time at Rothesay Joint Campus, taking part in Wizards Week.

Brewing potions and learning incantations is part of any good wizard’s education, and the 40 children who’ve been busy all week doing just that showed their lesson was well learned at a performance on Friday afternoon.

The Spencer Strachan Duo - comprising cellist Duncan Strachan and violinist Rachel Spencer - joined the children on their final day, to provide musical accompaniment for their spells, and to assist them in opening the magical chest containing the scrolls the children earned for all their hard work.

Achievement Bute have been able to offer more children places on their activity weeks due to a grant from Cash for Kids, and it was evident that those taking part in Wizards Week had had a wonderful time.
