The Rotary Club of Rothesay are proud to announce that the 2012 Young Musician of the Year Competition will be held on Thursday, November 22 at Rothesay Joint Campus.

Last year’s event was hotly contested, with vocalists and instrumentalists from Rothesay Academy fighting it out for a place in the district finals at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire in Glasgow.

If any of this year’s hopefuls make it through from the district finals in February, and the regional finals, they’ll head for the national final which is to be held in Kent on May 4.

This year’s competition looks set to be a hot one, and with entertainment by Academy Swing, will be a wonderful night’s entertainment.

* The competition will be held in Rothesay Joint Campus on Thursday, November 22, at 7pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for under 16s, and refreshments will be available.
